Isabelle was exhausted due to a combination of lack of sleep and nutrition, she had spent half the morning tutoring young Glyph Wielders and researching timelines from the histories in her spare time, refreshing her memory on Hallow and all his most famous discoveries. Going against Master Eran’s advice to let it be for now, she had to learn something that would get her closer to the truth. Tiredness had finally taken its toll and she rolled over on to her bed and lay there, flat on her back, overloaded with all this new found knowledge. All her life there have been mysteries emanating around her, things that she couldn’t figure out. Usually when confronted with these difficulties she would comfort herself in the things that she did know. Now however they gave no such comfort, even they didn’t seem clear anymore and it troubled her, being in this state of ignorance, unable to break free of the cage within her head. She lay there for a while, trying to sleep, but it didn’t work, she had to be elsewhere soon, to give more tutorials. It had been long since anyone had called for her or knocked at her door, but the anticipation of being disturbed was never far away. Her thoughts dwelled on ‘Xiondel City’ and her next meeting with The Readers, if it would be allowed by ‘The High Council of Virtue.’ She revised the questions she would ask them in her head, about her strange Visions. What the ancient writings and warnings really spoke of? How glyph is linked to the great Celestials? And about the Human predecessors and why they disappeared so suddenly and mysteriously? Most of all she would visit The Eldor again and confront him with her knew findings. The next few months were to be long and tedious she prophesised, yet she couldn’t help but feel a longing for something else, a craving not for her head, but her heart. Isabelle got up and head to the window and pressed her head against the glass, trying to ignore her worries and confusions. She stared at the free birds outside flying by outside, clearing the tops of the triangular buildings over the glorious golden City. She unlocked and pushed the tall window and peered over the edge. It was a very, very, long way down, long enough she thought to do the job but maybe not to avoid any relentless agony. She quickly closed it after hearing a knock on her door. It was a Priest, wanting her to get ready for the next class of student Glyph Wielders. She agreed and began to gather up her books and lesson plans. She had not the time to notice that from a distant street level below her tower, was a hooded figure, watching her from a secluded alley way with a telescope.
